Isabella Sayyah: An Internet Story

According to her about.me profile, Isabella Sayyah is currently a freshman broadcast journalism major at the University of Southern California. There, she is "learning a lot about the field as well as about life itself."

However, her public Twitter profile says she's both a junior at USC and managing editor of the Daily Trojan, in accordance with the Daily Trojan's Wikipedia page where she is listed as one.

In the past year, she's tweeted pictures of USC School for Communication and Journalism Dean Ernest Wilson during the grand opening of Wallis Annenberg Hall, Dunkin' Donuts arrival to Los Angeles and the Òfirst and last sunriseÓ she watched in 2013.

Sayyah also writes for the Student Life Blog at with USC Student Affairs, where she's blogged since July 2014, according to the dateline on her first blog post. She writes all-inclusively about her life with a clear focus on what it's like to be a student at USC. This summer, one of the focuses of her blog posts was interning for the web department at the L.A. Times. That internship later turned into a part-time job. Toward the end of her internship, she was asked if she could continue working eight to 12 hours a week through the fall semester being that the web team was understaffed. Worried about juggling school, the Daily Trojan, and now the L.A. Times, she still very willingly said yes.

But that's not all Sayyah has going for her. She has completed internships at VICE Media and RYOT and counts on "journalism, news writing, blogging, AP Style, Facebook, WordPress and Audacity" as skills, among others. Her work has also appeared on Neon Tommy and Annenberg TV News, according to her LinkedIn profile, where a simple Google search reveals she covered the record-breaking continuous concrete pour in Downtown L.A.

Fervently involved in life at USC and Los Angeles, Sayyah also has some history in Oak Park, California, where she went to high school. In fact, during her time at Oak Park High School, she was named a National Merit Scholarship semifinalist by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.

While she is now a full-time Trojan at USC, Sayyah hasn't always been on that side of L.A. While in high school, she completed a one-week summer program at UCLA dedicated to educating high school students about global green business.

Sayyah is very active on social media networks, particularly Instagram, where scrolling through her gallery will treat you to pictures of brunches, friends and family on a regular basis.
