Michelle Man


Michelle Man is an undergraduate student studying print and digital journalism at the University of Southern California and is expected in graduate in 2016.

According to her LinkedIn page, Michelle is the social media coordinator for Neon Tommy, where she "brainstorms social media strategy for USC's online news platform," and "narrows down strategies into tactics for fellow team members" and "increased Instagram followers by 20% and Facebook followers by 30% in 3 months."

Since 2013, Michelle also has been freelance researcher for Thinking Without Thinking Ltd. and she is currently in Hong Kong as a summer for Saatchi & Saatich, according to her LinkedIn page. She has held this position for the past five months.

At USC, Michelle is also a staff reporter at Neon Tommy. In the past, she worked as a director at Trojan Vision, associate producer of "The Toast" and reported on Pike Place in Seattle. She most recently, reported on the car crash at Jefferson Boulevard and Vermont Avenue that occurred on Oct. 27 and injured a one-year-old child, according to her report for Neon Tommy.

Michelle also has quite a few other talents. She can fluently speak English, Cantonese Chinese and Mandarin Chinese. Her other skills include, social media, creative writing, advertising, Photoshop and research. She also knows Facebook, public speaking and communication, according to her LinkedIn page.

On a personal side, Michelle is active on social media and frequently interacts on Facebook. And according to her Facebook page, she likes 253 things--56 bands, 17 television shows, three sports, one game and 182 others things.

Her favorite bands include, Coldplay, Adele and LMFAO. Her favorite television shows include "The O.C.," "Top Gear" and "How I Met Your Mother." And she also likes Bradley Cooper, Quidditch and a Facebook group called "I Love Wills and Kate."
