Drennon Kimpton is currently a senior at the University of Southern California. She is studying Broadcast Journalism at the USC Annenberg School of Communications and Journalism. Drennon was born in San Francisco and since she started studying at USC she moved to LA.
In January, she began as an associate producer for a publishing company called Vice News, which is an international news channel. After 10 months of working, there she has written several articles for their website. The most recent one was about how El Salvador’s government is considering ending the practice of separating prisoners based on their gang affiliation. She still works for this news outlet and frequently writes article for their online website.
Drennon also writes for Neon Tommy, a Los Angeles-based news source sponsored by the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, and at Annenberg Television News (ATVN). She is currently a reporter for ATVN, where she covers local news and goes to different press conferences around Los Angeles.
